I just want to thank all of our students and parents for being so patient with us the last few days. We understand all of the procedures are taking longer than normal, but we are doing all we can to make sure everyone stays healthy!! We are so happy to be back! You would never know that we hadn't been in school since March! The kiddos came back in on Monday and never missed a beat. I am so proud of all of them!

PGS PARENTS/GUARDIANS PLEASE READ
Parents who are dropping off their child/children in the mornings and picking them up...
**Drop off-
PLEASE, continue to use the semi-circle drive and keep your children in the vehicle until they are called to the red tent to be symptom checked. We will then wave at you to leave once they have been checked. This will make everything flow more smoothly. We understand that the wait may be longer, but we will all get the hang of it and it will get quicker each day. Drop off time is between 8:10-8:20. Students will NOT be allowed in the building until 8:!0 if they are a car rider, walker, or bike rider.
**Pick up -
Use the semi circle drive just like last year. Pull up past the red tent to the first sidewalk. It would be greatly appreciated if you have your child's name on a piece of in your windshield. We know some of the vehicles, but this will speed up the dismissal process.
Thank you for your patience as we work through our procedures to keep everyone safe and social distanced!!
Teachers learning all about how to teach remotely and in-person! We are ready for our students on Monday!

Baseball is back on!
Good evening! Baseball is back! Practice will begin Monday morning from 9-11. We will have practice on weekdays from 9-11 and games can begin on the 15th. We will welcome any incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to play. Please share with other that you may know are interested.
As a result of COVID-19, we will have to practice social distancing and have masks with us for when we are closer together. We will not be using the dugout as of now either. Please make sure your players come prepared. If guidelines regarding social distancing and masks cannot be held we may have to cancel practice/send players home. We don’t foresee this being an issue.
Parents, if you do not feel comfortable having your child play this season, we completely understand. Please let Mr. Nowaczyk know as soon as possible if that is the case.
We know everyone is eagerly awaiting the plan for the start of school. As you have seen in the news, districts are revising plans daily. At this time, we are planning on opening on time on August 24. For the health and safety of all students, Potomac Grade School is providing parents/guardians with a choice regarding their children’s education 1. In-person instruction and 2: Remote Learning. Daily attendance and engagement of students is expected whether students are participating in-person or remotely. It is our intention to provide, as close as possible, the same instruction in both methods. We know you have a lot of questions. Starting next Monday we will have a frequently asked questions page on our website with more detailed information. We are asking for your patience and understanding as we work to make each option the safest and educationally beneficial as possible. Watch for the "Frequently Asked Questions" on our website.
Registration will look different this year. Letters correspond to the first letter of the student’s last name. Please pay attention to the times listed. If you have any questions, email Ms. Freeman at freemanc@potomac.k12.il.us .

🤔We know you are anxiously awaiting to hear the Back to School plan. Please know, we are working tirelessly trying to figure out the best way to get our students back to school in person! As you are aware, things change daily! We don’t want to release a plan and have to change it a couple days later. Our hope is to return as normal as possible. We’d love nothing more than that.
🗓School is still starting on August 24.
📝Registration information will be posted later today. It will look different than years past.
🙌Thank you for being patient with us. We are just as frustrated with all of this as you.
