Happy Monday! We are in search of gift cards to be donated to our Staff Shout-Out program. Similar to the students Caring Cardinal program, we like to recognize and reward staff members for going above and beyond. After compiling the nominations, we then select 1 winner to receive a gift card. *Any amounts are appreciated. They can even be as little as $5. Thank you in advance!

Pre-k finished up their apple study. We did so many activities with apples. We measured the size of the apple with links and cubes, then we compared. We discussed characteristics of the inside and outside of the apple and then counted the seeds. We tasted apple cider, and picked what color apple they liked the best. Lastly we made applesauce together. While we were peeling the apples they noticed how long the peel was and we compared students height with it. At the end of the day we tasted the applesauce! Also pictured are our findings, favorites graph, and the apple art.

Did you see some of the 4th Graders around town today with Mrs. Taylor and wonder why they weren't at school? They were taking pictures for their writing project! They had to pick a location in Potomac that they thought should be a landmark and give their opinion of why. They then are turning those reasons into a brochure about the location and needed pictures for their brochure!

Good Morning Cardinals! I have been blown away by the success of Coys Canteen. Students have been utilizing this "take what you need" space so well. It has provided snacks, hygiene products, school supplies, and water bottles to so many of our students. However- We are running low on a few items, and if you would like to donate I would greatly appreciate it. Feel free to drop donations off to the school, but if you prefer to buy online here is the most updated amazon wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/104I3ELYD7GDA?ref_=wl_share

Yesterday Pre-K talked about the 4 different types of apples and discussed their characteristics. Today, we talked about the 5 senses related to them. We took a look inside and counted the seeds of each core. Then, we tasted the apples with carmel added!
